Public Health Isle of Man are hosting Workplace Wellbeing Workshop. This year they will be considering how we as colleagues can create positive working environments for ourselves and others. They will be raising awareness of aspects within workplaces that are everyone’s responsibility and providing knowledge on how we can all help to build comfortable working environments.
Lunch will be provided with vegetarian and gluten free options available.
The concept of ‘the millennial’ has caused many to look at what the workplace has to encourage the interest of younger employees whilst at the same time respecting our Islands top heavy older workforce. Adam Henderson will be one of the guest speakers who will be looking in depth at ways to create workplaces which are age inclusive.
David Hamilton,” the Professor of Kindness” visiting the workshop as the guest speaker. David will be explaining the science behind the benefits of kindness within the workplace.
Caron Kipping from the Domestic Abuse Stops Here (DASH) charity will raise awareness of how to recognise signs of domestic abuse and how to create a workplace which can protect and support those who may be vulnerable.
As well as the keynote speakers from the UK, Julie Bradley from industrial relations and Dawn Kinnish equality adviser will have some advice and guidance on ensuring that your workplace meets the requirements and standards when it comes to equality.
This event will be an informative and worthwhile day with presentations and workshops, networking and good conversation.
All delegates will be provided with a new (updated) Workplace Wellbeing Toolkit which will be launched at the event.
