The Isle of Man hosts a number of industry events throughout the year, from festivals and international conferences to networking and social engagements.
As part of its drive to attract new enterprise and promote the Isle of Man, the Department joins the Island’s vibrant business community at a number of key events in the UK and further afield each year.

On the 13-15 July local firms Browne Craine & Co (TIAG), Peregrine Corporate Services Limited (TAG-SP), and DQ Advocates (TAGLaw) will be hosting the next TAG Alliances UK and Ireland Regional Meeting in the Isle of Man. The event will showcase the Isle of Man and what the Island has to offer with a tour of several local attractions. There will also be ample opportunities for networking, sharing knowledge and expertise.
This year’s International Maritime Forum takes place during the International Business Festival, Liverpool on 21 June. Sponsored by IOM Maritime and IOM Ship Registry, the conference will focus on the Northern Maritime Powerhouse and its role in driving global trade, how digitisation and increased connectivity can enhance port processes and how innovative solutions can transform maritime transport by ensuring maximum transparency. Director of IOM Ship Registry will address attendees in an afternoon keynote and IOM Maritime will have a voice on the ‘Driving innovation’ panel.
Isle of Man Pension Matters’ is holding an information session for Isle of Man residents of all ages, who feel unsure about pensions or want guidance on retirement planning.
This free event will take place from 5.00pm – 6:15pm on Thursday 14 June, at The Sefton Hotel, in Douglas. Guests will hear from expert financial advisers and be able to ask them questions.
The Isle of Man Aviation Conference is a must-attend event for all business aviation industry professionals, attracting a large, high profile audience from across the industry worldwide, working in regulation, manufacture, operations, ownership and management.
Locate Isle of Man will be in attendance at the International Business Festival in Liverpool between 12th and 28th June, promoting the Isle of Man as a special place to live, work and conduct quality business. The International Business Festival aims to celebrate and support business, through conferences, presentation, seminars and bespoke business brokerage meetings.
The Isle of Man Ship Registry will be attending this year’s Red Ensign Group Conference, from the 12th – 15th June - an annual gathering of the British ship registers. It meets together with representatives from UK Government in a different territory each year on a rolling basis. This year it is the turn of Guernsey for a very important milestone which marks the 30th anniversary of the conference.
Finance Isle of Man will be in attendance on June 4 - 6, to join leaders representing every sector of the industry as they head to Amsterdam to seize new business opportunities, strengthen partnerships with payments service providers, and discover the latest FinTech disruptors.
EBACE (European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition) is a premier event and annual meeting place for the European business aviation community, held on Tuesday 29th – Thursday 31st May 2018.
