Celebrate Manx Wildlife Week
The Isle of Man's unique natural environment is set to be celebrated in the third annual Manx Wildlife Week, which takes place at venues across the Isle of Man from 28 August - 6 September 2020.
Organised by Manx National Heritage, Manx Wildlife Week offers the opportunity to learn about the Isle of Man's outstanding natural landscapes, biodiversity and wildlife.
Laura McCoy, Curator of Natural History at Manx National Heritage, said:
'Manx Wildlife Week is a great way to learn about and explore our lovely Island while meeting the people who help monitor and protect our wild spaces and the living things within it. Building on the success of previous years, this year's event will take advantage of the August bank holiday weekend, offering something for everyone.'
The action packed week of wildlife themed events commences on Friday 28 August and runs until Sunday 6 September with activities ranging from kids art workshops and bug hunts, to hearing about how peat can help our carbon capture whilst exploring the hills, a bat walk, a poetry workshop with the Manx Bard, feed talks at the Curragh's Wildlife Park, plus many other walks, talks and trails for all ages and levels of interest across the Isle of Man.
