A further £2,293,000 paid to businesses through the CBSS - Circuit Break (March 2021)

The Department for Enterprise has today paid a further £2,293,000 to businesses through the Coronavirus Business Support Scheme (CBSS) - Circuit Break (March 2021) following the announcement on Monday 22^nd March by the Treasury Minister that additional funding was being made available.

The Scheme opened on 3^rd March 2021 to support businesses with their overheads during the March 2021 circuit break lockdown.

The additional payment of £1,000 has today been automatically paid to 2,293 businesses who were in receipt of the initial grant payment of £1,500.

The total amount of funding paid to support businesses through the CBSS – Circuit Break (March 2021), as of Wednesday 24^th March 2021 stands at £5,732,500.

Additionally, due to last week’s announcement that the circuit break lockdown has been extended until 6^th April 2021, applications for the Scheme will now remain open until 30^th April 2021.

The Scheme remains open and new applicants will still be able to claim the additional amount. If eligible, new applicants to the Scheme will receive a single grant payment of £2,500 to support with the cost of business overhead payments throughout the duration of the circuit break lockdown.
