Isle of Man Graduate Fair returns for 2023

19 December 2022

Registrations have opened for the 2023 Isle of Man Graduate Fair which will showcase over 50 businesses looking to employ recent graduates in the Isle of Man.

Taking place at the Comis Golf Club on the 12th April 2023 the Isle of Man Graduate Fair, sponsored by Astrea Bioseperations, aims to highlight the number of employment opportunities available for individuals considering a return to the Island after studying, or those studying locally who are ready to take their first steps into employment.

The list of exhibitors registered to attend includes some of the Island’s largest employers in a wide range of industries, including biomed, accountancy and finance, multimedia, a range of professional service firms spanning law firms and leading CSP organisations, and a number of the Island’s recruitment agencies.

Alongside the opportunity to meet representatives of the companies on the day to discuss the career opportunities within their sector, the agenda also features insightful panel sessions with representatives across a number of sectors to understand what a career in each field can offer in the Isle of Man.

Ann Corlett MHK, Political Member for Locate Isle of Man, explained:

‘The Economic Strategy makes a clear commitment to encouraging our young people to stay and build their futures in the Isle of Man, and events like the Graduate Fair are essential in encouraging our Manx educated students to return to the Island and fill key vacancies.

‘Young students who leave the Island for university may not be aware of the breadth and diversity of opportunities here, and this event aims to give them a one-stop-shop to network, ask questions and learn more about where their next step could take them.

‘I’m pleased to see that the return of the Graduate Fair for 2023 has already garnered the support of many Island businesses, demonstrating the appetite across our business community to showcase what they can offer young professionals and encourage them to consider starting their career here in the Isle of Man.’

Chris Brown, Operations Director at Astrea Bioseparations, Headline Sponsor for the 2023 Graduate Fair, said:

‘Having attended the Graduate Fair over the last couple of years, we’ve seen what a valuable opportunity this event provides to network directly with young professionals and promote what our business as an employer, and the Isle of Man as a jurisdiction, is able to offer recent graduates. For this reason, we’re pleased to be further supporting the 2023 event as the headline sponsor.

‘At Astrea Bioseparations, we are committed to providing our teams with an engaging environment where they can thrive. Here at our Isle of Man site, we can offer young professionals career opportunities which encourage them to grow, be challenged and contribute in a meaningful way.

‘With 2022 being our most successful and exciting year to date, our organisation continues to grow, with six jobs currently available at our Isle of Man site, and more in the pipeline, we’re looking forward to meeting graduates and young professionals at the Graduate Fair in April 2023 to speak about how we can help them build a prosperous and sustainable career in the Isle of Man.’

The Graduate Fair is free to attend and suitable for anyone studying at school, degree or postgraduate level in the Isle of Man, UK or further afield, as well as recent graduates and young professionals looking to build their on-island network or anyone looking to find out more about employment in the Isle of Man.
