Join the Isle of Man Government Conference this September

Members of the public are invited to register for free to attend the 2023 Isle of Man Government Conference, taking place at the Villa Marina on the 20 and 21 September.

The two-day conference is open to all members of the public, and will provide attendees with the opportunity to hear from the Chief Minister, alongside other Ministers, Members of Tynwald and guest speakers.

The conference will commence at 18:00 on Wednesday 20 September with the first day concluding at 20:30. The agenda for Thursday 21 September commences at 09:00 and will run until 17:50.

Alongside discussing key policy areas for the Island, this year’s conference programming will focus on the three key themes of Housing & Infrastructure, Education & Skills and Finance & Government Budgets.

The agenda comprises a mix of presentations and keynote speeches, alongside interactive question and answer sessions, giving members of the public the opportunity engage directly and generate ideas for the Island’s future.

‘This year’s Government Conference aims to provide our community with an active platform to connect and collaborate. Building upon the constructive conversations and outcomes of last year's inaugural conference, which drew more than 1,000 people to discuss key areas of the Economic Strategy, we have designed this year's agenda to offer key sessions at flexible times to encourage and enable even broader community participation.

‘The Government Conference presents an ideal platform to receive comprehensive updates directly from Ministers and guest speakers. The central topics of education, housing, and government budgets hold relevance for every individual within our community, and I encourage all Island residents to attend to engage in conversations which will shape the future of our Island and foster a secure, vibrant and sustainable future for all.’

A separate Youth Conference is being held for the Island’s sixth form and college students throughout the day on Wednesday 20th September.
