Visit Isle of Man hosts southern drop-in networking session

24 January 2019

Visit Isle of Man is hosting its third drop-in networking session for the benefit of businesses in the local tourism industry.

Aimed at local businesses or individuals who are involved, or who are interested in becoming involved, in offering visitor accommodation, attractions or events, the session will enable attendees to engage with industry experts, other members of the Tourism industry and the Visit Isle of Man team.  The session will provide an excellent opportunity for members of the industry to ask questions and understand what assistance and resources are available to them.

The Southern session is being held on Wednesday 13th February between 2pm and 7pm at the Castletown Town Hall, and industry members also have the option to book 15 minute one-to-one sessions with the Tourism team if they wish to discuss something more specific.

A member of the Department’s Enterprise Support team will also be on hand to discuss the various grants and assistance schemes. This could include support for business start–ups, consultancy, websites and energy efficiency loans.

The MiQuando Homestay Team will also be in attendance to answer questions for anyone interested in taking part in the scheme to offer accommodation at the TT and Festival of Motorcycling.

Further tourism industry events will also be held on the following dates:

  • Tuesday 26th February 2019: Tourism Industry Day – Villa Marina, Douglas (8am – 4.30pm)
  • Wednesday 20th March 2019: Western Drop In Peel Centenary Centre, Atholl Street, Peel (2pm – 7pm)
